The only African American Monument and Vault Company owner in New Jersey. Established in 1967 by Clyde Brooks, Jr and Carrie F. (Millard)Brooks in Jefferson Township, New Jersey. In 1968 the company was relocated to 201-203 Sherman Avenue, Newark, New Jersey. The company continues under the leadership of his wife Carrie F. Brooks, President and their sons Clyde F. Brooks, III and Christopher A. Brooks, Avery Hill and other support staff.
